 Why do you need a copy of my credit card?


Due to the nature of our industry, fraud is prevalent. By reducing fraud, we are able to lower our costs and offer you better rates.

By requesting a copy of the card from all of our customers we establish that the customer is indeed who he/she claims to be and that the credit card is in his/her possession.

Can I setup a virtual office service if I do not have a credit card?

No, you cannot. Everytime we receive some mail for you, we will sort it and classify it in our mailing room. We will prepare it and forward this mail to you on every Monday. At that stage we will bill your credit card for the postage costs associated to the shipment. For this reason we always need to have a valid credit card on file in order to charge it with the postal costs. Can I fax or email USPS form 1583? Why do I have to mail it?

The law requires us to keep originals on file, thus we cannot accept a faxed or emailed copy. Form 1583 must contain the original signature and be stamped by a notary (or if a notary if not available by a government or bank officer (or attorney) with an official stamp). Two original copies of form 1583 along with copies of two forms of identification will need to be submitted to us in order for us to activate all the features on the account. Why do you request me to fax you both sides of my credit card?

By law we need to verify the identity of the applicant. Also our bank processor request us to verify who is the real cardholder. We cannot verify that you are the genuine cardholder without asking you to see both sides of your credit card (exactly like a teller would do in a normal shop). In that way we can verify that your name is printed on your card and also that your signature matches the one made on the confirmation invoice.
